Coach Woods looks forward to her 11th season at the helm of New Canaan High School in spring 2017 with the Girls Varsity Lacrosse Program.  Her overall coaching record adds to 172-45 including the 2016, 2015, 2013, 2012 & 2010 Connecticut State Championships.  At the end of the 2012 season, Lacrosse Magazine ranked New Canaan High School Girls Lacrosse #18 in the country.  Coach Woods consistently has players selected as All-Americans.  Already sixteen of Coach Woods’ players received All-American honors: Jenny Simpson, Veronica Lizzio, Alexandra Crerend, Anjalie Christie, Kacey Pippitt, Sarah Mannelly (2x), Lauren Freeland, Olivia Hompe (2x), Liz O'Sullivan, Kelly Armstrong, Wheatley Raabe, Elizabeth Miller, Bailey Pilder, Catherine Granito, and Sami Stewart.  An additional thirteen players have earned Academic All-American honors: Meg Boland, Betsey Hart, Abby Lee, Julia Tuttle, Olivia Hompe, Lily Citrin, Bea Eppler, Lizzy Burke, Emily DeTour, Elizabeth Miller, Matty Novick, Isabel Taben and Mia Carroll.  She has also coached 37 All-State and 56 All-FCIAC players.  She was honored as the 2008 & 2012 Connecticut Coach of the Year, as well as the 2009 & 2012 FCIAC Coach of the Year. 

Before becoming an esteemed Coach Woods made an impact on the field.  As a player at Penn State, she was a four-year letter winner and captain of the team during her senior year, ultimately being named to the Academic All-Big Ten team as a midfielder.  Following her collegiate playing days, she was asked to stay on at Penn State for an additional year as the Undergraduate Assistant Coach.  She has coached at the Penn State Elite Camp for nine years, as well as owning and operating CT LAX, which she founded in 2005. 

Coach Woods currently teaches Health and Physical Education at New Canaan High School, and is in her 12th year in the school system.

Coach Woods and CT LAX are excited to be organizing camps for the 11th year in New Canaan, CT and look forward to mentoring and instructing the next generation of Connecticut lacrosse.
